• Hone #3 cylinder, clean all stud with wire brush, cleaned top of cylinder block to ready for new gasket

• Rinse and lube with WD-40

• Clean hardware and parts to be re-assembled, scrape old gaskets and prep for new.

• Strip valve covers, end cap, oil pan, water inlet pipe

• Clean intake manifold

  
  

• Begin cleaning cylinder head and related parts for suble t repairs.

• Begin cleaning bock surfaces

  
  

• Removed right side cylinder head to find a "dropped" value on the #3 exhaust

• Piston had damage

• Removed oil pan and push out #3 piston for a diagnosis.

• ·cylinder looks-OK

• Remov e instruments, and repair stripped holes in fiberglass dashboard

• Fabricate mount plate at lower dash

• Install instrument panel and secure with original screws·

• Transmission located plunger is stuck

• Access plunger under tunnel and move back and forth until free

• Check operation of shift lever and forks, all- OK

• Inst all both seats using hardware found in center console

• Secure steering column parts so vehicle can be moved

• Check brake system losing fluid- no external leaks

• Removed both boosters/cylinder assemblies and dismantle

• Evaluate parts for possible rebuild

• Vacuum out fluid from vacuum reservoir

• Boosters were filled with brake fluid

• Locate wiper arms and position t hen on windshield

• · Raise vehicle to address shifter detent and exhaust system loosen 1-2 plungers center stop for 3-4 selector shaft

• Install exhaust piece using new hardware and customer gaskets

• Secure to original mounting area

• ROAD TEST- runs well

• Check operation of all lamps, gauges, panel lights, ect-

• Needs signal switch replacement

• Screw holes for dash retention are stripped

• Panel switches are loose, but work

• Replace frailer radiator temp switch with newreplacement

(Had to modify one fan. Blade was hitting a bolt thread.)

• Bleed clutch

• Jack up vehicle and removed 4 wheels.

• Lots of air

• Breaks bled out pretty well

• Fluid clean and pedal hard

• Removed left wiper box to access footbox for master cylinders

• No leaks observed

• Run engine and set mixtures

• · Adjust coolant level

• Clean oil from heads

• Drain engine oil and refill with 20W50 and Lucas Synthetic additives

• Run engine until warm and began tracing fan controls

  • Drain fuel tanks, check accelerator pump activity, drain carbs, No fire

  • Removed plugs and check com pression

  • Attempt to start engine.

  • Attempt to start once again, Will not Fire

  • Spark and fuel are present

• Position compressor and proceed to adjust A/C bel ts

• Prep water neck for assembly

• Install 4 cam covers with new gaskets

• Trim excess gasket material when done

• Fit 4 cam end covers at back of engine using new gaskets

• Fit breather tank with newgaskets

• Fit distributor housing and cover plate for #3cam with new gaskets

• Install distributor and attach wires

  
  

  (Cleaned and reset gap on 4 points set inside distributor)

  
  

• Removed all be!ts at front of engine to fit replacements

• Check intake manifold nuts secure

• Replace 3 nuts and washers

• Repair bent and twisted power steering belt guard best as possible

  
  

  *Vehicle has had frame repairs at le . Visible repairs areas. Front cross member is pushed back

  a bit,causing clearance issues with power steering and A/C*

  
  

• Begin prep work for reassembly

• Gap and install new spark plugs

• Remove A/C compressor, air pump bracket, compressor brace and shims

• Remove front cover/oil filter

• Remove remaining end cover

• Clean gasket material and sealer from all parts

• Separate hardware

• Clean mating surfaces of engine

• Remove burrs and dings from cam cover surfaces

• Clea n all parts with brake cleaner, for assembly

• lube cam lobes with Moly

• Ensure all cams are on time
