There were 1,609 Skylarks built to celebrate GM's 50th anniversary. They were based on the Roadmaster frame and engine but had many options that were standard on the Skylark. It was equipped with the "Fireball" 322 cu inch V-8 known as the "Nailhead". The "Dynaflow" transmission was also new as was its 12 volt electrical system. The MSRP was $5,061 with standard equipment ($52,847 in 2022 dollars). The Continental Kit was an option available only at the dealer level. Only certain color combinations were offered.

This car was painted Mustard Yellow by second owner in 1992. Paint Code #74 was the original color (majestic white), and the interior was Code #67 (white with black tufting) and it had a black cloth top.
