(Phase 1: April 17, 2017 - June 23, 2018)
While participating in the Palm Event Concours Show in Palm Beach, Florida, the vehicle was rear ended resulting in damage to the trunk area and the nose of the car. In undertaking the repairs, other imperfections and rust formation were discovered and it was decided to dismantle the entire vehicle and restore all the body parts affected. The engine and transmission and drivetrain remained attached to the frame. The entire car received an epoxy treatment after metalwork was accomplished.
After this initial work (Phase 1) was done at the Kiddie Classics facility in Jensen Beach, Florida, the vehicle was transported to Extreme Performance in Palm City, Florida for priming and paint (Phase 2) before doing reassembly.
